Joe Social drops the Police Modify behind-the-scenes reel — a million views overnight
After the film opened in cinemas last month, Joe Social released a behind-the-scenes reel from the set, complete with a self-deprecating joke about the box office, and fans were soon talking about it all over social media.
After "Police Modify" opened in cinemas on 21 November, director and lead actor Joe Social released a behind-the-scenes reel on TikTok and Facebook with a tongue-in-cheek caption, "How about that, a billion-baht movie," and it became the talk of social media overnight.
The reel gathers off-camera moments with the cast, Doctor Ong, Bak Mad and Suea Mek: botched gags, action scenes that took take after take, and the atmosphere on set in Udon Thani. Many fans commented that the team’s natural chemistry is exactly what has kept them watching since the early days of the Joe Social channel.
For Mungkon Film, it is an important lesson in carrying the content from a single film across multiple platforms. The team plans to roll out more behind-the-scenes footage, along with cast interviews, toward the end of the year.
